African Union Convenes Donors” Summit over Famine

Addis Ababa, Aug 1 (Prensa Latina) The African Union convened a donors” summit to rise urgently-needed humanitarian aid for the victims of a famine in East Africa.

Malabo,  (Prensa Latina) A summit meeting of the African Union (AU) rejected an international warrant for the arrest of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Nigeria: Bomb Explosions Kill 25

Abuja, Jun 27 (Prensa Latina) At least 25 people were killed and 30 injured in northern Nigeria when attackers on motorcycles threw bombs into bars, police said on Monday.

According to local authorities, the people injured in the attacks in Maidiguri, Borno, were taken to a university hospital in Abuja. Continue reading
