Kabul, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force reported five of its soldiers were killed Thursday when a homemade bomb exploded in southern Afghan.
The brief communiqué did not provide details of the event, or the identities or nationalities of the five troops killed.
The ISAF also confirmed the death of another soldier in a similar incident in another southern area where the rebels are more active.
The latest casualties bring the death toll for the occupation forces this year to 388 casualties, according to the website icasualties.
August appeared as the worst month this year for the foreign troops, with 53 soldiers killed in just 11 days.
