Islamabad, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) An explosion from a homemade bomb and a suicide attack on a control post killed seven oeike and injured 37 northwest of Peshawar.
Both events took place a few hours apart in the vicinity of the Lahori Gate and were the first of this type in over two months in the area, Geo News television reported.
The first occurred when a homemade bomb hidden in a wheelbarrow exploded as a police van passed, killing four police and injuring 21.
A 12-year-old boy who was passing by was killed by flying fragments from the destroyed vehicle.
In the second incident, a 17-year-old girl threw a hand grenade at a police checkpoint and then blew up the explosives vest she was wearing.
The explosion killed the attacker and a 60-year-old woman passerby and injured 16 others.
