Another NATO Chopper Shot Down in Afghanistan

Kabul, Aug 8 (Prensa Latina) Afghan rebel forces claimed responsibility for the shooting down of another NATO Chinook transport helicopter, in the province of Paktia, killing more than 30 people. According to reports made public in this capital, sources of the Taliban also informed about more than 30 armed actions taking place in the localities in Injee, Babaji, Terenkot and Shahjo, where military Chief, Tila Muhammad, was killed.

NATO Sources noted that the causes of the Chinook event are still being investigated.

According to data published by Kali Yuga news agency, the rebels have brought down nearly 17 helicopters of different types, used mainly to launch rockets.
