Mexico City, Aug 1 (Prensa Latina) Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos begins a state visit to Mexico on the invitation of President Felipe Calderon.
The two leaders will sign several agreements and review various issues and joint actions, particularly in the fight against drug trafficking, the international political situation and the environment.
The two leaders will reaffirm their decision deepen the political dialogue, economic and trade ties, and cooperation.
During his visit, Santos will meet with business people from both countries and later hold his first meeting with Calderon at the presidential residence, where they will sign agreements on extradition, security and justice and cooperation for development.
Santos also will meet with the president of the Supreme Court, Juan N. Silva, and then with Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard, who will honor him as a distinguished guest of the city.
Santos will visit the Mexican Senate, and then meet with business people from the Mexican Council on International Affairs, after which he will return to Bogota, on Tuesday.
