Over 20 Deaths in Combats in Afghanistan

Kabul, Jul 26 (Prensa Latina) Combats between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) troops, Hamid Karzai regime forces, and the insurgency were carried out in various Afghan regions, leaving more than 20 dead, according to media sources in this capital. A government official said that combats, which he considered fierce, were chiefly staged in Helmand province.

Reports from Musa Qala district announced the death of at least two children, but no further details were provided.

Figures in the last 48 hours show that NATO air strikes have taken the lives of ten civilians in the northern part of the country.

Meanwhile, Casulaties.org website reported that 328 NATO troops have died so far this year.
