Giant Police Operation in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

Mexico, Jul 24 (Prensa Latina) A giant police operation in the dangerous center of Ciudad Juarez, north of Mexico, enabled the detention for investigation of some 400 people.

A missing teenager and a man being investigated for killing a woman were also found during the operation, held Saturday night.

The teenager has been named as Siara Duran Sanchez, 15, who was missing since May 31 and was found inside El Refugio Hotel in good condition.

Faced with complaints from relatives and organizations about disappearances of women in the central zone, some 600 police officers from the Investigating Police of the Stateâ�Ös Attorney General’s office and the Federal Police carried out the surprise action.

Among the women sought is Nancy Iveth Navarro Muñoz, 18, reported missing a few days ago by her mother. She left home to look for a job in the cityâ�Ös central zone and never returned.

  2. I’ve read a lot about Mexicos Police Corruption Impunity, Im sure it’s hard for everyone too believe such could happen and be documented! It’s good to read positive stories! And that Victims and Missing are cared for!! Mexico is a great country with wonderful people I know
