Montevideo, July 16 (Prensa Latina) Uruguayans will be closely following the quarterfinal match of their national soccer team against Argentina on Saturday night, in what is considered to be an early final in the 43rd Copa America tournament.
The match will start at 19:15 hours at the Bridadier Estanislao Lopez stadium in the city of Santa Fe, close to the Uruguayan border, with a capacity of 47,000 people.
The game will have as its principal referee Paraguayan Carlos Amarilla.
Uruguayans have great expectation on the River Plate classic match, because of the clash between soccer stars Diego Forlan of Uruguay and Lionel Messi of Argentina.
Both teams had unspectacular results in the qualification round, finishing in second place in their respective groups.
Argentina, in the competition group A, had two draws with Bolivia (0-0) and Colombia (0-0), and a resounding victory over Costa Rica (3-0).
Uruguay had a similar performance in the competition group C, after two draws with Peru (1-1) and Chile (0-0), and a close victory over the junior Mexico team (1-0).
