SK, South Sudan Establish Diplomatic Links

Seoul,  (Prensa Latina) South Korea and South Sudan established diplomatic relations by an agreement signed after the independence of the new African States was proclaimed, was officially reported here.

The document was signed the day before by the cabinet minister Lee Jae-oh and the African country’s foreign minister Deng Alor Kuol.

With the beginning of those links the South Korean government expects to step up cooperation with the other part in relevant sectors, emphasized an official declaration.

The official quoted attended the ceremony for the proclamation of Southern Sudan independence after a referendum held last January in which the division was backed by 98 percent of voters.
