Venezuela Hosts Exhibition for the Bicentenary

Caracas, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) The Casa de Nuestra America Jose Marti cultural center hosts from Wednesday an exhibition of 19 works of art related to the bicentenary of Venezuelan independence.

The exhibition “Por la senda de la soberania” (The path of sovereignty) that includes 18 artists shows with different techniques the fight for independence and the figure of American heroes like Simon Bolivar, Francisco de Miranda and Jose Marti.

“We join the bicentennial celebration with this beautiful exhibition that is scheduled until July 29, which endorses the commitment of our creators, said Maria Clemencia Lopez, vice president of the Casa de Nuestra Americas Jose Marti.

Lopez stressed the quality of the works and their purpose of keeping alive the ideals of the pioneers of Venezuelan and Latin American independence.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of the exhibition, the artist Lidoska Pirela, told Prensa Latina that they used techniques on acrylic, oil and mixed, in addition to sculpture.
