Russian Presidential Representative Begins Tour in Africa

Moscow, Jul 4 (Prensa Latina) Russia”s Presidential Representative to Africa, Mikhail Margelov, begins a tour in this region to analyze the Libyan conflict and issues included in the bilateral agenda with Zimbabwe, Angola, Sudan and Ethiopia.

In Harare, the special representative will meet leader Robert Mugabe and Zimbabweâ�Ös Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simbarache Mumbengegvi, and will present them the details of his recent visits to Bengazi, headquarters of the Libyan opposition, and to Tripoli.

After visiting Angola, Margelov will travel to Khartoum, where he will debate, along with leader Omar Al Bashir, the tense situation of the Sudanese territories of Abyei and Southern Kordofan, where some clashes were registered in the last weeks.

Margelov will arrive on July 9 in Djuba, where he will participate in the official Declaration of Independence Ceremony of South Sudan and will meet the leader of that new state, Silva Kiiru.
