Caracas, Jun 30 (Prensa Latina) The youth section of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) is preparing for a march on Sunday to show support for the process of change begun by President Hugo Chavez in 1999.
PSUV youth leaders confirmed to Prensa Latina that they would soon announce the routes to be followed and details of the closing concert.
In announcing the event, Executive Vice President Elias Jaua said the mobilization would begin at 10 a.m. in Madariaga Square and participants would march to Francisco de Miranda Square in Caracas.
“We call on the youth to participate in an anti-imperialist and patriotic march” said Jaua said the previous Saturday at the Teresa Carreño theater in the capital, during the launching of the Colombeia website.
The activity will be the prelude of the Venezuelan Indepedence Bicentennial celebration on July 5.
Festivities will last through July 30, and will include the reopening of restored buildings, concerts, photo exhibitions and commemorative ceremonies.
