Quito, (Prensa Latina) The Peruvian President-elect Ollanta Humala was received Tuesday afternoon at the presidential palace by President Rafael Correa to start a dialogue on bilateral issues.
Humala and his wife Nadine Heredia were greeted by Peruvians living in Ecuador, who wished him success in his administration, due to start on July 28, 2011.
In the meeting, both leaders are expected to address issues of mutual interest and agreements relating to security, the fight against organized crime and smuggling.
After a lunch in honor of the distinguished guest and his delegation, Correa and Humala will have a press conference in the Palace at the end of official talks.
In the afternoon, Humala will have a working meeting with Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), Maria Emma Mejia. Then he will continue his tour to Colombia.
