Cairo, (Prensa Latina) Cubans living in Egypt launched Tuesday an online blog for exchanging experiences and fraternity in this captivating country, and to encourage the love for their homeland from a distance.
The initiative of the Association of Cuban Residents in Egypt is an opportunity for Cubans living, working or visiting Egypt to share their views and be in touch, president of the Association Victor Barbier told Prensa Latina.
He highlighted the “absolutely intentional” coincidence of launching the blog on June 14 to mark the birthday anniversaries of Cuban patriot Antonio Maceo and Argentine guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara.
According to Barbier, he and others will manage the blog “Cubans in Egypt ” (www.cubanosenegipto.webnode.es) that includes issues about politics, society, culture, customs and sports cooperation (boxing).
Details on the performance of the National Ballet of Cuba at the Pyramids of Giza and the horrifying days lived by scholarship holder Zenia Ailec Torres Santos during the riots that toppled Hosni Mubarak, are also included in the blog.
