Caracas, AVN .- The next biannual meeting of head of States of the Common Market of the South (Mercosur in Spanish), will be held on June 29 near Asuncion, Paraguay”s capital city, informed its Foreign Ministry.
The Summit will take place at the Convention Center of the South American Football Confederation.
The formal agenda will be defined on June 28 during the Fortieth Ordinary Meeting of the Council of the Common Market of the South, bloc”s political organ.
Likewise, the Common Market Group (CMG, a technical-executive organ) will meet on June 14 and 15 to debate over “the economic-commercial, institutional and negotiation agenda of the bloc regarding its external relationship,” informed the Ministry through a formal statement.
The meeting will be presided over by the Paraguayan Economic Affairs and Integration minister Manuel Caceres with the participation of coordinators and delegates from member countries (Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina) and from Venezuela -country that is going through the joining process.
The CMG will debate over “issues deemed a priority” during the first semester and over the progress achieved in the talks to eliminate the double-payment of common foreign taxes, free transit of goods, asymmetries and other aspects related to the consolidation of customs unity.
