Montevideo, Jun 12 (Prensa Latina) The elected President of Peru, Ollanta Humala, arrived Sunday in Uruguay as part of his tour to strengthen the economic and political ties with South American countries.
The official agenda will begin on Monday when the president, José Mujica, receives Humala at the seat of government, confirmed the presidential website.
Subsequently, Humala will offer a press conference and attend a dinner offered by Mujica, said the source.
On Tuesday, Humala will travel to Argentina, where he will be received at the Government House by President Cristina Fernández and finally, on Wednesday he will meet in Chile with the head of state, Sebastian Piñera, the source said.
A second tour will include Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.
