Venezuela does not meddle in Colombian affairs

Caracas, 03 Jun. AVN .- The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, ratified on Thursday that his Administration does not meddle in domestic affairs of the Republic of Colombia.

Concerning the issue of drug traffic and irregular groups, the Venezuelan President said: “We may not allow the presence in Venezuela of any armed body or which is outside the law.”

Since President Juan Manuel Santos took office in Colombia, Chavez said, there has began a new phase in the bilateral relations of these two nations.

From the Miraflores Presidential Palace, President Chavez talked to the national and international press, on the occasion of the visit of the ex president of Brazil, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva.
