Beijing, (Prensa Latina) China’s AVIC Xi’an Aircraft Industry Group Co. on Thursday confirmed the sale to Venezuela of eight Y-8 commercial airplanes.
Delivery of the Chinese-designed medium-size multifunctional planes is set for August 2012.
Prior to delivery, changes to the traditional model will be made by request of the buyer in the control panel and avionic systems, lighting, and electrical distribution, according to company sources quoted by the local media.
Those changes will facilitate a better adaptation of the aircraft to different flight conditions.
The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) was created in October 2008 with the merger of the country’s two major airplane makers to strengthen the domestic production.
