Correa Rejects U.S. Sanctions on Venezuelan PDVSA

Quito, (Prensa Latina) Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa rejected the sanctions imposed by the United States on Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) for its relationship with Iran, which he considered equivalent to punishing the South American nation.

During the ceremony of the condecoration of outgoing Ambassador of Venezuela to Ecuador, Oscar Navas, Correa gave an overview on bilateral relations between both nations, and said that the Bolivarian process in Venezuela marked the awakening of South America and Central America.

Without tutelage or fealty, there followed in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Uruguay and Nicaragua, processes that favor the extension and exercise of citizenship rights.
