Caracas, 01 Jun. AVN .- Venezuela”s National Assembly approved in plenary session last Tuesday, a request of the President of the Republic, Hugo Chavez, to leave the country for over 5 days in order to pay an official visit through Brazil, Ecuador and Cuba.
The tour, approved with 94 votes, will begin next June 05, in accordance with the note sent by President Chavez to the parliament.
The Venezuelan President had proposed the same agenda three weeks earlier, but a knee injure obliged him to rest for a couple weeks.
The request informs that the three trips aim at reviewing and strengthening bilateral relations, especially in matters of agroindustry, commerce, energy and others.
Venezuela”s Constitution stipulates that the parliament shall authorize the absence of the President of the Republic when he or she wants to leave the country for terms greater than five days.
