Low-Intensity Bomb Explodes in Delhi Court

New Delhi, May 25 (Prensa Latina) A low-intenisty bomb exploded on Wednesday outside the Delhi high court, but no victims or major damage was reported, police said.

It was a small blast that did not jeopardize human lives, said the police Special Commissioner Dharmendra Kumar, cited by the PTI news agency.

The blast occurred shortly before midday on Wednesday in the parking lot of the building, which houses the Delhi High Court.

The bomb, apparently homemade, was inside a plastic bag and damaged a car parked nearby when it exploded.

The most recent large-scale terrorist attack in the Indian capital occurred in September 2008. when five bombs exploded in differents sites in the city, killing 30 and injuring over 100.
