Asuncion, May 10 (Prensa Latina) A total of six presidents and a vice president confirmed their participation in celebrations commemorating the bicentennial of Paraguayan Independence May 14-15.
The presidential press office posted on its website that presidents Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Desi Bouterse (Surinam), and Sebastian Piñera of Chile confirmed they would be at the celebration.
That website posted that presidents Cristina Fernandez (Argentina), Jose Mujica (Uruguay) and Dilma Rousseff (Brazil) confirmed their presence there verbally.
Presidents Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales had not confirmed their participation.
Activities planned for Saturday, May 14, include a parade.
